Don't miss the conversation Potter-Belmar Labs shared with Chris Kubick and Anne Walsh, known as Double Archive, appearing in the upcoming Spring 2008 issue of Art Lies Contemporary Art Quarterly. The interview is already posted on the Art Lies website. But be sure to buy the magazine, it's full of great stuff, including a DVD of video art curated by Andrea Grover of Houston's Aurora Picture Show, and is now available at Barnes & Nobles bookstores all over the United States.

The San Antonio Business Journal identified Potter-Belmar's Leslie Raymond as a "Women of Influence," including her with a number of outstanding ladies from the S.A. arts scene, in a special supplement to the March 7-13, 2008 issue. You can find issues anywhere magazines are sold, as well as curbside newspaper boxes around town.

Finally, keep your eyes open for the San Antonio Express-News on Wednesday. As part of the paper's Luminaria coverage, Dan Goddard interviewed PBL and our collaborator, Stuart Allen, regarding the Mixing Chamber, an installation at the San Antonio Museum of Art coming up this Saturday, March 15.

Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery Leap Day

Potter-Belmar Labs previews their latest audience-participatory live-cinema performance, Fortune, at the Sheldon Memorial Art Gallery in Lincoln, Nebraska. The duo will perform a multimedia reading of the collective fortune of the audience. Hope you're there!

At 2p.m. on the following day, Jason and Leslie will be part of a panel, "Art/Landscape/Architecture" at the Sheldon. The panel is organized by Jeffrey L. Day, Douglass Professor of Architecture at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and includes Matthew Coolidge, Center for Land Use Interpretation, Los Angeles; Ed Dadey, founder of Art Farm; Martin Hogue, Assistant Professor at Syracuse University School of Architecture; and Patricia Morgado, Assistant Professor, UNL College of Architecture.

In The Garden is a video installation made with loops mined from the image database of video artist Leslie Raymond. It is a rendition of the age-old theme of The Garden told via light and color moving on the walls of Cactus Bra Space.

University of St. Cloud, Minnesota

We were shown a great time by all of the friendly Minnesotans at our our host school and would especially like to thank Alexa Horochowski, sculpture professor, and Bruce Tapola, professor and gallery director, for their assistance and support in our performance and exhibition there.

We were also very pleased to get to speak to graduate students of art at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis. Big thanks go to printmaker-professor Jenny Schmid for the invitation and to sculptor-professor Wayne Potraz for hosting us.
